sometimes we just have bad days. plan and simple.

I took a bit of a vacation. Now it is back to the grind. The unknown. The reality that I have no idea which direction I am going.

I believe that limitation is the springboard to creativity. where endless possibility may suffocate ideas or lead us into copying what others have done due to fearing the unknown. Granted, it doesn't have to. How do we cultivate spaces & relationships...so they spark imagination & fuel new life within our communities? what are our limitations & how can we use those to problem solve? to guide our dreams? to find inspiration?

it's 9/11. enough said.

I never get sick of chicago's bean. there is just something about standing in front of a huge life size rounded mirror to see things from a different perspective. while on vacation, i saw some personal issues from a different angle. maybe it was just the new scenery, maybe it was just having a fun filled schedule but for those brief days, i felt like i had regained some life and joy that i had lost.

we are all waiting for something. waiting for the next vacation. waiting for the birth of a child. waiting for the next big break. waiting to start a new job. waiting. waiting for the subway. waiting on the future. waiting on what is next. oh the many things we spend our lives waiting but the key is to live while you wait.

may your life with toby be filled with love, beauty, grace and joy. i am honored to be your friend and am grateful for your presence in my life.

looking in and watching while others live their lives. i stand behind the glass wondering where i am heading. where this life is taking me.

sometimes i just don't have anything to say. i lived another day. it had its challenges but also brought little moments of happiness. it is these mundane days that pass by and you begin wonder where life is taking you. what made you feel alive today?

through the gates lies old treasures that have turned into waste. i still see the beauty that it offers.

take time out and play. to laugh. to savor the beauty of change.
